The Gambero Rosso, one of Italy’s top food and wine magazines, has awarded the “Tre Bicchieri” to their Lambrusco Concerto for the 11th consecutive year. Over the years, the Medici Ermete label has earned a spot among Italy’s top wines, and their Lambrusco is the first in the area to have joined the list of the country’s most prestigious wines. Their production cycle uses entirely new machinery with advanced technological processes to create environmentally sustainable wines and in complete harmony with nature. The family’s success can be attributed to their respect for traditional processes, the idea of creating a strong link between the vineyards and wines produced and a rigorous selection of grapes. The company is now run by the fourth generation of the Medici Family, which attributes to their sound experience in winemaking, allowing them to produce high-quality wines from the grapes they grow. Today the company owns 75 hectares of land spread out among the finest wine-growing areas in the Emilia-Romagna region. Remigio’s son Ermete expanded the business and consolidated its reputation before handing over the reins to his sons Valter and Giorgio, who carried on the work of their ancestors by extending their wine sales even further.
